Logan Jones is an innovative and highly creative commercial composer whose music has been performed by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) at Carnegie Hall in New York, Cadogan Hall in London, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Proms in Prague, and Hollywood Night in Prague. His edgy film piece The Bank was highlighted in a favorable classical review of the CNSO Carnegie Hall performance. In April 2023, Logan was honored as a featured composer at the Composers Summit in Prague, alongside some of Hollywood’s most established, award-winning composers. His works Mystical Forest and Dusk of Dawn were performed expertly by the CNSO at the opening concert, earning praise from Harry Gregson Williams and Michel Dana for their artistry and emotional impact.
A classically trained pianist, Logan plays multiple instruments and composes across a wide range of genres. He studied Music Composition at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles to deepen his understanding of orchestration, harmony, and cinematic storytelling. He has created music for TV commercials, shows, and films, including Fortis BC (commercials); BC Brew on Tap and Cooking with the Stars (TV series); and Peter Rabbit and Knightfall (feature films, IMDb).
Other projects include composing for international ballet performances, a custom animation project, a drama film at London University of the Arts, and a national-level sports campaign. Orchestral music remains his specialty, and he crafts cinematic scores that enhance both visuals and emotional impact.
Logan's Story
Logan’s love for music began at the age of three, with the French horn as his first instrument. He would lie on the carpet, playing it sideways — a quirky start that sparked a lifelong passion and set him on a path to develop his own signature approach to music. Over the years, his interests expanded across saxophone, trumpet, guitar, drums, and keyboard, eventually leading him to writing and composing his own pieces. Logan is talented, highly creative, deeply passionate, and wise beyond his years, now composing full symphonies and cinematic scores.
He has collaborated with musicians from Nashville, London, Vancouver, Toronto, New York, Prague, Paris, and South Africa, and recorded at the renowned Fader Mountain (Little Mountain Sound, Vancouver), a studio where artists from Aerosmith to Hedley and Rage Against the Machine have recorded. Logan has also worked with Grammy-nominated songwriter Carey Ott.
Logan’s music is shaped by a wide range of influences. His classical foundation is inspired by Chopin, whose work is evident in Logan’s melodic and harmonic approach. At the same time, he draws inspiration from modern cinematic masters like Bryan Tyler, John Williams and Hans Zimmer, composers who brought symphonic music back to the forefront of film scoring. His style blends layered rhythms, rich melodies, and orchestral textures, creating cinematic music that enhances visuals and emotional impact.
Famed producer Garth “GGGarth” Richardson commented after one of Logan’s performances, “I can hear his influences, and I can hear him inventing for himself many things that have come before.”
Logan lives in Vancouver, BC, and records constantly at Dunbar Underground Studios, crafting music that bridges genres, styles, and stories.
