Logan Jones is an innovative, highly creative, and prolific commercial composer, who has worked with the Czech National Orchestra, CNSO, and recently his music was played in Carnegie Hall, New York. An edgy film piece called the Bank, by Logan Jones was mentioned in a favorable classical review of the Carnegie Hall appearance of the CNSO in February 2023. Logan’s music has also been performed at the Proms in Prague and at Hollywood Night in Prague. In April 2023 Logan was honoured to be a featured Composer at the Composers Summit in Prague, along side some of the most established Hollywood composer that hold many awards inlcuding an Oscar and hundreds of movie credits. Logan’s music was played at the opening concert with well known Hollywood film music and he was warmly welcomed and complimented by his seniors for Mystical Forest and Dusk of Dawn performed expertly by the CNSO.

Logan has had a busy 2023 so far. After attending the Composers Summit in Prague he returned to his Vancouver Dunbar Underground Studios and started work on A sports theme at the request of a member of the CBS team.

Logan has also started his first full length film. Shogun Films has a horror film project which looks to become a favourite in this genre. The opening theme is one of Logan’s favourites currently.

Logan also has been working on a volunteer basis with some young film makers at the London Film School. He is hoping to find a Steven Spielberg in the making and forge a long term collaboration.

In the first project called LOUD – Logan is writing for both comic and dramatic effect. .

Logan’s styles cross genres from classical to jazz and pop. He writes with complex rhythms and signatures.

“Platinum Grooves” a jazz rock album was forged on the site of a platinum mine in construction with a string quartet during one of Logan’s many trips to South Africa. He also worked with Free State University teacher/producer John Smit to explore African based rhythms to help add new dimensions to his music.

"Silver in Your Veins" was written in the 1800's mining town of Tonopah, Nevada and recorded at the famous Dark Horse Studios in Nashville, TN. This album has a straight ahead rock feel and Logan composes and plays keys and electric guitar on the album. Carey Ott wrote and performed lyrics.

Logan studied film composition for two years and Musicians’ Institute in Hollywood and is largely self taught. Logan has also written and produced TV show themes, TV ads and custom music for several programs including "Cooking with the Stars" with more than 40 showing episodes. .  Collaborations of music for film include work for international level ballet, a custom animation project and a drama film at London University of the Arts.

Logan is an accomplished international composer at 23 years of age and is an Executive Producer on the Film Renegades.

Logan's Story

Logan’s love for music started at the age of 3 with the French horn as his first instrument. He started playing it by lying on the carpet and playing it sideways. That was enough to fire his passion for music and to take music onto a whole new level in his own signature way. He developed a multifaceted interest in music that has brought him from playing guitar, drums and keyboard to writing and composing his own. Logan is definitely talented, highly creative, deeply passionate, and wise beyond his years. Logan is now writing full symphony music and movie scores.

Logan has worked with musicians from Nashville, London, Vancouver, Toronto, New York, Prague, Paris, to South Africa. He has recorded at the famous Fader Mountain (Little Mountain Sound Vancouver) where the greats from Aerosmith to Hedley and Rage Against the Machine have recorded. Logan has also worked with Grammy nominated songwriter Carey Ott. Logan’s inspirations for his music come from rhythms and harmonies of all music types across continents and decades. Music heroes whose work has influenced Logan’s style are Mark Knopfler, Herbie Hancock, Pink Floyd, Sting and the movie music of Brian Tyler. Logan is currently studying the classical work of Chopin and Brahms . Logan has a unique style of layered rhythm  and melodies.  Famous music producer Garth “GGGarth” Richardson at one of Logan’s gigs said “I can hear his influences and I can hear him inventing for himself many things that have come before”.

Logan lives in Vancouver, BC recording constantly at Dunbar Underground Studios and he studied music composition at Musicians Institute on the famous Hollywood Bvd. Logan has now committed to working on his music and skills full time. He has recorded many times with the Czech National Orchestra in Prague.
